Especially when I was in an accelerated program that would teach for about 7 hours a day.īeing in class for that long meant I also needed to sit next to an outlet since we didn't have the fancy ones attached to the individual desk.Īnd that also means a phone can't record all that at once.Īnd I wouldn't be able to time stamp my notes to correlate to the audio clip if my phone or laptop was literally right in front of the professor away from me recording. Which clearly they aren't computer savvy if they're just saying record stuff with your phone or laptop. so it took maybe a month of me complaining to the disability services and finally asking them to take away the audio recording and just give me a note taker, For them to figure out the microphone situation with the note taking software and IT. I tried the dumb laptop recording which obviously picked up my laptop fans and every single key I touched while typing notes. I would almost never recommend phone recording unless the phone is right next to the professor which can be impossible when the professor needs to move around. I would plug in the USB receiver which then would detect the mic on the computer or even on a phone. Which attached to the professor shirt and the battery pack would stay in their pocket. The microphone was a Samson - XPD Series Wireless Lavalier Microphone System When you start typing a note it will appear under the slide and will time stamp on the audio side. You can add a PowerPoint and click through the slides while doing continuous audio recording. My school provided a software and a wireless microphone the teacher would have to wear. ** List of all college specific subreddits ** Textbooks: How to find the best LEGAL price Mods retain the right to remove content for any reason if deemed necessary This typically includes anything related to a specific textbook, professor, program, or university.
